12. Roosevelt Was A Killing Machine

Theodore Roosevelt is the man whom the teddy bear was named after (because he refused to kill a bear on a hunt after it was chained to a tree). He kept many pets. Yet despite this somewhat fluffy exterior Roosevelt was a bloodthirsty lunatic who routinely strolled about the White House with a loaded pistol on his belt, Secret Service bodyguards be damned! He was so into killing, in fact, that his war record has rarely been bettered, had a black belt in jujitsu and was a champion boxer in his early years. Not to mention before he became president he was a cattle rancher, a deputy sheriff, an explorer, a police commissioner, the assistant Secretary of the Navy, the governor of New York. The man was something of a badass when he wanted to be.
