9. Supposedly When The Company Translated The Advertising Slogan "Come Alive With Pepsi" Into Chinese, The Result Was... "Pepsi Brings Your Ancestors Back From The Grave"

Allegedly the PepsiCo made a blunder when they attempted to translate their famous "Come Alive With The Pepsi Generation" into Chinese during the 1980s. Although it has never been confirmed by the company, supposedly when the phrase was translated it came out as: "Pepsi brings your ancestors back from the grave."

It's fair to assume that if this was ever used in China, then the nation's population would undoubtedly have been incredibly freaked out and probably wouldn't have been convinced to purchase more Pepsi...
