America is often described as "The Great Melting Pot" because of its cultural diversity, but is it really? Demographic research shows that about 63% of Americans are white with European descent. The second largest demographic are Hispanics, making up a not-even-almost-close 16%, and African Americans, making up an even smaller 12%. That may be a bit more diverse than the statistic which shows the United Kingdom to be 87% white, but, all things considered, most places in America are pretty racially monotonous.
