Living in the People's Republic Of South Yorkshire is a bit like being part of an exclusive member's only club. There are plenty of perks, secret phrases, and certain special perks (like condiments). Just like other member's clubs, however, you have to deal with the hangers on and riff-raff trying to associate themselves with you, desperate for an invite into an inner circle they can never hope to be a part of. People from Chesterfield, essentially. Not all of them! Some are apparently all right. But then there are the ones who go around telling people that they're from Sheffield, or they live in Yorkshire, when nothing could be further from the truth. Chesterfield is in Derbyshire.
