10. Trying To Stay Current On The Name Of The Square Balloon
It was Provenance, then Myth, then... is it Switch now? I'm not sure anyone cares. I remember when it was the old ABC Cinema, you know. Saw The Neverending Story in there in 1984, Ghost and Pump Up The Volume in 1990. But for a whole generation, this spot has been The Square Balloon, scene of many a drunken squaddie battering at 1am on a busy weekend. Those of us who found it a little less easy to blend in kept our heads down, just in case any of the townies loitering outside the Square Balloon decided to take home a scalp that night. Ahhh, memories.
