Former Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi may have been deposed by revolutionaries and the Western Powers for his radical politics and the brutal repression of his own citizens, yet the Colonel had a lesser-known creative side too. Gaddafi designed the Libyan car the Saroukh El-Jamahiriya - or "The Libyan Rocket" - in order to reduce the increasing number of road deaths in his country.
