Back in the Philippines, we continue with the rice theme by way of the McRice burger, which is available in two varieties: "Beef Supreme" and "Chicken Supreme." In addition to the choice of meat, the difference between the two is that the beef is dipped in a "rich, sweet, and tangy" barbeque sauce, whereas the chicken comes with a "special" garlic mayo. Both are then topped with lettuce and red cabbage. Where it gets its name, however, is from the special buns used. These consist of "the finest grains of fragrant white rice, steamed, pressed into two round patties, and toasted to golden perfection." They also include toasted sesame seeds.
