Yep, it's Japan again. Get used to it, that's where the rest of this list comes from. Sometimes all you really need is a nice variation on a classic, and that's where this item shines. First, they take the Big Mac and add egg, or in the case of the Mega Mac (a double Big Mac), replace one of the beef patties with egg. Really, that's all they needed to do, and our curiosity handles the rest, but no. From there, they also add bacon and a seafood-flavored kewpie mayo/pepper sauce. Fortunately, whatever that sauce is (accounts vary) aside, this one is actually fairly easy to recreate at home. Just get to McDonald's before they switch from breakfast to lunch, and get an Egg McMuffin for the egg to add to your Big Mac with bacon (you can save the rest of the McMuffin for breakfast tomorrow). Voila! Some have created their own variation on the concept, known as the Mc10:35. Named for the common time of day breakfast switches to lunch, it basically entails getting a value menu double cheeseburger (or McDouble in some places) and an Egg McMuffin, and putting all the contents of the latter into the former, save for the English muffin. It may not be quite the same as a genuine Tamago Mac, but at least it's something!
