Some shifts can pass by really quickly and you can't believe the time, whereas other days will drag, and what seems like half and hour has only been two minutes. So as soon as you hear that end of day tannoy, you feel a sense of relief and then panic because what if your till is wrong when you cash it up? Maths was never your strong suit.
