23. You€™ll Redo The Cleaning Because The Cleaners Clearly Didn€™t Clean

Every cleaner who€™s ever worked in a bar or pub before has a wee bit of an attitude on them, and they absolutely should. Every day, they have to clean up after a load of thoughtless idiots have vomited all over what they previously cleaned up the day before. It€™s like being a long-suffering parent tidying a slobby teenager€™s room every day, grabbing filthy clothes and binning questionable handfuls of tissue. Of course, familiarity often breeds another kind of contempt. An hour before the bar opens, you€™ll spot a few bits and pieces that the cleaners missed earlier on. That precious last hour will now be spent with a cloth and antibacterial spray, frantically running around finding the other dozen or so €˜bits and pieces€™ that the cleaners skimmed over.
