20. Time Off Is Something That Happens To Other People

There are probably a dozen or more people capable of slotting into an empty space behind your bar€ but there are only a couple of people that can do your job, you're one of them, and you€™ll have to fight the other inside a steel cage for the right to a weekend away from work. You may feel underappreciated the majority of the time, but there€™s some small comfort in knowing that, really, you€™re pretty vital to the running of the place. At least, there is until Christmas rolls around, and you realise how little of your holiday allowance you€™ve been able to take.
