23. A World War II Veteran Enjoys His Escape From The Jungle
Being trapped in the Philippine jungle for 30 years cannot be a fun experience - but that's exactly what Hiroo Onoda (right) had to endure following the Second World War after finding himself stranded there during American occupation. Yet in January 1975, Onoda embarked on a tour of the United States - and managed to enjoy a dance with Barbi the Bunny at the Playboy Club in Chicago. The former Japanese lieutenant described it as one of his favourite experiences.
