The noughties saw the release of the single highest-grossing movie of all time. 2009's 3D epic Avatar - a breakthrough in stereoscopic film-making - has grossed almost $2.8 billion to date and it's clear from this image that the striking visuals of the movie are a major contributing factor towards that fact.
