An acclaimed poet, author, songwriter, civil rights activist and so much more, Maya Angelou left behind a legacy overflowing with brilliant contributions to our society. She was presented with more than fifty honorary awards, including the National Medal of the Arts and the Presidential Medal of Freedom., and even spoke at President Clintons inauguration. For someone possessing such a gift with words, its only fitting that her final tweet be as profound as many of her writings:
