7. Peter Pettigrew Should Be Slytherin(Ish)

No one likes Peter Pettigrew. Not even the other Death Eaters. And for good reason, too.

Pettigrew famously betrayed Lily and James Potter, his friends since his first year at Hogwarts, to Voldemort, leading to their deaths. He then spent the next thirteen years letting his other childhood friend, Sirius Black, take the blame in Azkaban, while he lived disguised as a little boy's pet rat.

And yet somehow, Peter was sorted into Gryffindor. It's odd beyond his actions because Peter doesn't have the lion's spirit either; he cowers before Voldemort, even as a Death Eater, and was always whiny and snivelly, never standing up for himself or anyone else.Does that sound brave?

Peter has few redeeming qualities, so it's hard to properly sort him into any of the four Houses. However, due to his instinct for survival, and the fact that he manipulated the world to believe that he was dead and Sirius was guilty, Slytherin is probably the best fit.

Still, Peter doesn't quite belong in Slytherin, or, for that matter, Hogwarts.
