It's truly amazing how a bunch of pixels and a loud beep can turn an innocent character into a foul-mouthed lunatic. As this article looks at the Top 8, you can see how easy it is for a guy with a video editor to ruin some great films forever. Parodies of popular figures are becoming more and more popular, so this form of video can also be seen in the growing social media presence that is YouTube. People love to see things being completely flicked on their heads, whether it be a version of England footballer James Milner and his parody (@BoringMilner) or some of the videos listed below, people love to see alternate realities, so Milner talking about lacing up boots, cartoons having a slagging match or boy wizrds talking about molesting various animals, people or inanimate objects.
8. Barney The Dinosaur
As children's TV goes, Barney the Dinosaur is a character who has always seemed a little to sweet for his own good, as this video may have uncovered. Another character who seems a little sexually frustrated, but in a much more inappropriate way than the Count, and questionably young Ask Ketchum. When aiming the 'I **** you, you **** me' at the children who have been watching goes a good few steps past acceptable behaviour, and to paraphrase a famous TV Doctor, "The line is a dot to you!" (Well done if you got the reference). Say what you want about how bad it seems, but Barney is certainly about his 'great big ****' and who wouldn't be? It seems to be a running theme throughout the list that anyone who is a costume or a puppet has certain *ahem* needs that just can't be met, and that they don't have time to fulfill, what with filming, rehearsing and press appearances. As if the video wasn't strange enough, the last two seconds turned into a mini-promo for former US House of Representatives member Mark Foley. He resigned in 2006 for sending explicitly sexual instant messages, and linking this to the video which has over 30,000 views you end up getting an idea of what to expect in these videos.
