A big puzzle facing a lot of astrophysicists today, is the question of just where all the aliens are.
In a universe as big as ours, with planets as common as they are, there are those who think that the possibility of intelligent alien life is tantamount to inevitable. But, if this is the case, why don't they say hello?
Zoo theory suggests that these super-intelligent beings exist but, like the makes of a nature documentary, choose not to interfere with life on Earth, lest they disturb our natural course of development.
It is possible that we are being observed, like animals in a zoo, until we reach a certain level of advancement. For the same reasons that you wouldn't let a lion drive your car, the aliens might not think we're intelligent enough to operate in the galactic arena just yet.
