Hollywood: a land for the rich, famous and notoriously plastic. It's hardly shocking when actresses, models, TV personalities or singers change their eyes, breasts or bum in order to compete with their newer, younger competitors. In fact, it's a necessity in Tinseltown to look your absolute best to get the most sought-after roles and record deals, and this fact has been accepted by literally everybody, from big-shot directors to the man on the street. Yet, while many are open and honest about the work they've had done - without judgement in most cases (unless it's gone spectacularly wrong) - others vehemently deny having had any work, despite evidence proving otherwise in plain view. Clearly, the pressure to maintain a certain level of beauty in the limelight can be quite intimidating and many either feel too proud or embarrassed to admit that they have turned to the scalpel for help. To make matters worse, it's been found that there has been an increase in celebrities as young as 17 going under the knife to live up to Hollywood's expectations of beauty. Gone are the days where wearing a midriff-bearing top and singing "Like a Virgin" was the most shocking thing a 17-year-old could do: now they're ordering new lips from their mother's plastic surgeon on their daddy's credit card. Just don't suggest that you've ever noticed...
