5. He Is The Puppet Of A Media Magnate And A Coal Miners Daughter
When Kevin Rudd announced the Australian Election date for September 7th, 2013, there were two very powerful people within the inner circle of elitists that occupy Tony Abbotts back pocket that decided it was time to showcase exactly how much power they had when it came to Australian politics. First, we got a response from megalomaniacal corporate tyrant, owner of News Limited & real life Montgomery Burns, Rupert Murdoch. whom Abbott himself has described as "my hero". He saw the need in all of his infinite wisdom (or wealth) to tweet this little piece of rhetoric for the Australian public. Then on the following day, we get this piece of responsible, non-biased journalism from your friends at News Limited. And the subsequent weeks that followed, right up until election day. Now this is the type of thing you tend to hear about in countries like Zimbabwe and Russia. They didn't even try and hide the fact. Let me give you the actual definition of journalism. "Journalism is the activity, or product, of journalists or others engaged in the preparation of written, visual, or audio material intended for dissemination through public media with reference to factual, ongoing events of public concern. It is intended to inform society about itself and to make events public that would otherwise remain private." EVERY practice that News Limited indulged in this election is the complete OPPOSITE of ANY interpretation of those words you could ever possibly come up with. There was nothing "factual" about it, it was nothing but a vicious campaign of propaganda never before seen in this country to this extent since World War 2. And didn't the unfortunate souls at home buy into every word. Even an ad campaign that pointed all of these facts out in full couldn't deter the masses from succumbing to the whim of a corporate madman. Now let's discuss the aforementioned number 2 (and in every sense of the word) of the duo that has the other hand in the sock that is Tony Abbott, Gina Rinehart. She is the only daughter of coal & iron ore magnate Lang Hancock, is the majority shareholder of Fairfax Media and has rather strong (mostly negative) opinions about the majority of Australians and anyone throughout the world that wishes to be paid an honest wage for an honest days work. Whilst at the same time seemingly neglecting to remember that she is a "heiress", that for those who are unfamiliar with this term, means that she INHERITED her company that was built on the backs of of hard working Australian minors. Here, let me treat you to some of her marvelous rhetoric. "Business as usual will not do, not when West African competitors can offer our biggest customers an average capital cost for a ton of iron ore that's $100 under the price offered by an emerging producer in the Pilbara ," Rinehart said. Furthermore, Africans want to work and its workers are willing to work for less than $2 per day. Such statistics make me worry for this country's future," September, 2012 Thats right folks. A woman whom has never had the need to work, never been even remotely close to any type of abject poverty, has never had any need to fear what she may have to eat that night and has had everything handed to her on a silver platter, is telling us Australian "workers" (or peasants) that we should have the same rights and working conditions as those gold miners in Africa. Now I ask you, google the three words Africa, gold and miners and tell me what the first thing that pops up tells you? It may resemble something like this, "Tens of thousands of South African gold miners on strike over pay." But hey, don't take just my word for it when it comes to her character. Here is how she is described by a little rag in America known as THE NEW YORKER. "Many critics have pointed out the conflation, in Rinehart's political arguments, of what she insists is the national interest in her own commercial interests. Beneath that patent cynicism, though, and beneath her paranoia, her cunning, her crude self-promotion, her manipulations, both clumsy and deft, is a weird sincerity. "She believes the mining gospel she preaches. She believes that she and her fellow billionaires know best. She truly wants to own and operate an iron-ore mine, wants it more than anything. She would also like to be celebrated and thanked and hugely rewarded. And she wouldn't mind pushing around governments the way that Rupert Murdoch does. But she lacks the belief that she can charm people, can persuade them, can do more than bully them. That, perhaps, is why she will not consent to an interview. She's afraid of sounding foolish." March 25th, 2013 This is a women and a heiress whose own children (whom have brought unto her grandchildren) had to take her to court to make sure they received the wealth they were mean't to INHERIT (and are entitled to) when she attempted to force a delay in the execution of her own fathers will. My God between her and Rupert Murdoch we have the equivalent of the Legion of Doom pulling on Tony Abbotts strings. I guess it is true in what they say....
