7. The Magnifying Lens Really Works

LEGO Mini Figs often come with bonus features, but few as cool as this one. The Detective character from 2011's Series 5 packs a working magnifying glass. No s***t Sherlock! It comes with an actual lens inside.

Although the figurine bears a striking resemblance to a certain master detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this isn't a licensed piece of kit.

The character makes a cameo appearance in the video game LEGO City Undercover, turning up on a billboard, and is referred to in that as Doorlock Homes.
