Interestingly, it would seem that the Decepticons have a thing for converting human cities into their own instruments of destruction. Well, sort of. The big takeaway from Scorponok's name is that he transforms into a scorpion, thus allowing pretty much any scorpion-themed Transformer to bear his name. As a result, there have been several Scorponoks over the years, not the least of which being Blackout's predatory partner in the first two Michael Bay movies. The original Scorponok, however, could also turn into a city. He was once the city for a group of human-like aliens known as Nebulans, specifically the tyrannical rulers who formed the Hive. Upon seeing the Transformers arrive on their planet and lending the Nebulan rebels a hand, Hive leader Lord Zarak converted their city into a giant Transformer itself, one in which he would become the head. Naturally, the Autobots had to fight back against the Decepticons' "oversized shopping centre," and in a big way...
