I'm sure that it will be a surprise to many that the ultimate B-Movie horror hero, Ash from the Evil Dead, has never actually featured at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights. That is until this year.

Ash vs Evil Dead will be joining both The Shining and American Horror Story in this year's line up of mazes at both Universal's Orlando and Hollywood parks.

The Ash vs Evil Dead house will contain all the comedic and gruesome sights that fans have come to expect from Universal's annual horror extravaganza. You will join Ash and his chainsaw hand as he takes on Deadites in various locations from series 1 and 2 of the show, including going to that most infamous of cabins.

The Evil Dead franchise has only appeared once previously at Halloween Horror Nights. This was back in 2013 where the rebooted "Evil Dead" movie of the same year featured. The HHN23 maze was very well received and news of this maze will undoubtedly have horror fans delighted.

Universal's blog described the maze as a..."blood-soaked, milk-eyed, crass, rock n’ roll amped, chainsaw-wielding felt puppet, love-letter to everyone and everything connected to Ash vs Evil Dead."

With 6 other houses and all the scare zones yet to be revealed for Universal Orlando's HHN27, this year's event is still a bit of a mystery. With three huge horror heavy hitters already confirmed it's exciting to see what else Universal has in store for us this year.
