Cool Tech: The Amazing See-Through Dress!

I cant imagine may celebs would be brave enough to wear this dress.

Growing up in the 80's, I remember adverts that used to run in DC comics for X-Ray Specs. These adverts were accompanied by a picture of a man looking through a ladies dress. Obviously they didn't work, much to the disappointment of sex pests everywhere. But fashion designer Daan Roosegaarde has invented the next best thing, a dress that goes see-through when the wearer is aroused. Made from leather and smart e-foils, the ''Intimacy 2.0'' detects an increase in the heart rate and becomes transparent. So the lady wearing it, sees someone she likes, her heart rate increases and the dress goes see-through. Everything is put on display for the potential mate and presumably anyone else who is in the vicinity. Also, if it is linked to heart rate, I assume the same would happen if you was playing Dead Space on the XBOX or watching a penalty shoot out. Roosegaarde states that €œIntimacy 2.0 is a fashion project exploring the relation between intimacy and technology.€ and the website says the dress would be perfect for the red carpet but excluding some z-listers, I can't imagine may celebs would be brave enough to wear it. Roosegaarde has won numerous awards for his designs and this dress is defiantly a technological marvel even if impractical for day to day use. There is no male equivalent of the Intimacy 2.0 but men supposedly think about sex every seven seconds so if there was, the smart e-foils would be working in overdrive trying to keep up.
