9. The World Of Ice & Fire: The Untold History Of Westeros And The Game Of Thrones
The World Of Ice & Fire is another book that was clearly only released to appease frustrated fans and capitalize on the TV show, but it's a welcome release nevertheless. The book is divided into several parts, detailing the history of the series' fantasy setting and providing a massive amount of context. This includes the Dawn Age and Doom of Valyria, the reign of the various Targaryen Kings, and every prominent location in The Seven Kingdoms. There's also a huge amount of gorgeous artwork to go with it, as well as detailed family trees. Again, it's something fans are likely only to turn to when they've finished reading (or re-reading for the hundredth time) A Song Of Ice And Fire, but it's a lengthy and informative book nevertheless, and a worthy addition to any fan's bookshelf.
