Joe Rogan Experience: 10 Early Gem Podcasts You Might Have Missed

10. Dana White #327

Given how close he and Rogan are, it's pretty surprising that Dana White's 2013 appearance on the JRE would mark the only time to date that the UFC president has appeared in-studio.

In a move that you probably wouldn't see these days on the show, Joe goes live with the episode before White has arrived to record, with heavy California traffic delaying his entry for nearly 40 minutes.

Though a great deal of the podcasts is unsurprisingly dedicated to discussing the UFC, Dana actually spends a lot of time talking about life prior to becoming the head honcho of the world's largest mixed martial arts organisation.

One of the most interesting parts of the conversation comes when White talks about his hard upbringing in Boston, and how much it contrasts his current lifestyle as a multimillionaire. Dana tells a story about how he was assaulted by several assailants outside a bar, leading him to suffer from severe Meniere's disease, that has regularly left him bedridden for days on end even decades after the attack took place.
