Universal Orlando Resort Announce New Epic Universe Theme Park

Who's ready to step into an Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort.

Universal Orlando Resort have officially announced that they will be opening a brand new theme park, Universal's Epic Universe.

Epic Universe, Universal's fourth park will continue to push the boundaries of immersion and technology. Guests will take adventurous journeys into "beloved stories" and "vibrant lands"

This "Epic" announcement also included additional entertainment areas, restaurants, and new shops. The new theme park will double the size of Universal's resort across Orlando. “Our new park represents the single-largest investment Comcast NBCUniversal has made in its theme park business and in Florida overall,” said Brian L. Roberts, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast Corporation.

Universal's Epic Universe will be located just a couple of miles from the resort's other theme parks and is part of a 750 acre site along Kirkman Road and is close to the Orlando Convention Centre. Universal are investing $160 million in the Kirkman area including improvement to transportation.

During today's media event Universal Executives confirmed that it will take just 12 minutes to get from one side of the resort to the new Epic Universe park.

So far there is no news on the different lands that will be found within Universal's Epic Universe or when the park is set to open. With more details will be revealed soon, this is an incredibly exciting new development for fans.
