10 Footballers You Won't Believe Have A Premier League Winners Medal

2. Adam Johnson

Arguably the most controversial player on this list thanks in part to some unforgivable actions later in his career, it can be easy to forget that Johnson was actually a top Premier League winger at one point.

After joining Manchester City in 2009, Johnson was expected to kick on and finally fulfil the massive potential he had shown in his previous spell with Middlesbrough.

For the most part, Johnson was actually a success in a City shirt, and he also made a place in the England squad his own during his time with the Manchester club.

He got his crowning moment in the 2011/12 season as City dramatically got their hands on the Premier League title.

In a season which is often remembered for the heroics of Sergio Aguero, it's quite easy to forget that Johnson did, in fact, play a key role in City landing that first title. Six Premier League goals by Johnson that season contributed heavily to the title for Roberto Mancini's men.

It's just a shame his off-field antics have cost him being memorable for the right reasons.
