Well, we certainly didn't expect that. Plenty of pundits had the Myles Jury vs. Takanori Gomi fight going Jury's way heading into UFC Fight Night 52. We called Gomi, but maybe there was a little too much nostalgia going on in that pic. Either way, what no one expected was a quick knockout, with Gomi rocked, dropped, covering up and unable to defend all within the first 90 seconds or so of the fight. It probably marks the end of there being any real chance at even the top ten for The Fireball Kid in the UFC. That's a shame, because the guy is a legit legend in the lightweight division in MMA. B.J. Penn gets credit for "building the division," but Gomi has been there for a long time. As for Jury - what a statement. Myles Jury is suddenly looking like a title contender in a division stacked with them. He's undefeated in his career, and will need a top five sort of guy next.
