The previously mentioned speech impediment was a result of Ronda Rousey's rather turbulent birth. In the UFC Primetime show, Rousey revealed that she was born with her umbilical cord around her neck. She had apparently been so deprived of blood to the head that she was blue. In addition the doctors thought that the young Ronda was a stillborn because of how blue she was. As everyone knows that was not the case. As a result of being oxygen deprived during labor, the young Ronda had the aforementioned speech impediment. It's also possible that Rousey had a few other issues. Regardless of her beginnings she is still taking the MMA world by storm. The saying "What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger" certainly applies in this situation. Rousey is now a strong woman who always remembers how close she came to death.
