10 Men Who Could Be The Next Scotland Manager

By Joseph OHare /

1. Graeme Souness

Souness almost certainly would not be a universal choice as he is still not fondly thought of by the Celtic half of Glasgow due to his time with Rangers. He does have a great CV though: he captained Liverpool through their most successful period, winning 3 European Cups and 5 league titles during his time there, and then cut his managerial teeth with Rangers before moving back to Liverpool, and managing both abroad and back in the EPL with both Blackburn and Newcastle. As with Joe Jordan though, he hasn't managed in over 6 years now, after his time at Newcastle came to an uninspiring halt.

2. Joe Jordan

In an illustrious career, Jordan played 52 times for the national team, scoring 11 goals in the process, and in his club career, he played at the highest level with Manchester United and AC Milan amongst others. Subsequently he has managed for over 20 years now, though for the last few years has acted as Assistant Manager, most recently to Harry Rednapp at Spurs.
