2014 was a bit of a rough year for the UFC. You had performance enhancing drug scandals and the retirement of a pair of UFC stars in disgrace. Injury after injury, and the second cancelled event in UFC history. A lawsuit brought against the company by former and current fighters. The inability, once again, for the promotion to break the last barrier and have MMA sanctioned in New York. A drop of nearly 40% in revenue. A lack of star power. While the company finished strong in December, a lone month doesn't a turnaround make. However, there are a few things the company could do, and particularly a few matches the company could make, to turn things around in 2015. It's a simple fact: a fight promotion lives and dies by the quality of its fights and the stars in them. Lots of star power in exciting fights means the company will thrive.
