Celtic fans weren't alone in applauding great goals by even their most fierce of rivals over the years, when Henrik Larsson sent a deft chip sailing over a stranded Stefan Klos in the Rangers goal during an incredible 6-2 success for the green and white team in August, 2000, even Rangers fans had to admit it was a cracker of a strike. That hammering had been particularly painful for the Ibrox outfit, and it was time for payback. Just weeks before Celtic visited Ibrox on November 26th, 2000, Rangers had stuffed a sorry St. Mirren 7-1 at home, and supporters were desperate to see the same fate befall their main adversaries. On the day during which £12 million signing Tore Andre Flo made his Old Firm debut, Rangers ran out 5-1 winners, returning the 4-goal deficit from the previous match and redeeming themselves in the eyes of the fans. Before the game, manager Dick Advocaat seemed oddly quiet, almost as though he knew what was going to happen. After the match had concluded, the normally-fiery Dutchman simply had a smile on his face, repeating over and over that his game plan had worked to perfection. No real team talk was needed for this one, Rangers knew they had to give their fans something to cheer about, and boy did they ever. Even Flo got on the scoresheet!
