In what will go down as one of the strangest decisions in Premier League history, Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs received his marching orders despite not actually doing anything wrong. With Arsenal 2-0 down to Chelsea in Arsene Wenger's 1,000th game at the Gunners, things went from bad to worse when referee Andre Marriner stepped in with an almighty howler of a decision. After a disastrous first 10 minutes at Stamford Bridge, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain decided to produce a save that Petr Cech would have been proud of to stop an Eden Hazard shot that was actually sailing wide of the post. However, it was the young full-back who was strangely shown the red card and despite angry protestations by the Arsenal players - including an admission of guilt by the Ox - Marriner stuck by his decision and Gibbs went for an early shower. It didn't exactly get much better for Arsenal as they ended up being hammered 6-0. Happy 1,000th game, Arsene.
