10 Players Jurgen Klopp Could Bring With Him To Liverpool

Could the German succeed where Brendan Rodgers couldn't.

One of the biggest questions that Brendan Rodgers faced during his time at Liverpool was whether or not he was able to attract big-name players to Anfield. Through no fault of his own Rodgers hadn't been in management long enough to develop world class allegiances and all he brought to the Reds was a distinctly average Joe Allen from his sprightly Swansea days. New coach, Jurgen Klopp has double the amount of management experience than Rodgers and after spending six years in charge of Borussia Dortmund he has a wealth of friendships, loyalties and professional admiration among his peers. This would no doubt have been a key factor in Tom Werner and John W Henry's decision to sack Rodgers and appoint the German manager as a coach of Klopp's magnitude (or in fact, their second choice, Carlo Ancelotti) don't come along very often. Klopp told Liverpool that he would only come to Anfield if he is given final say on transfers at the Barclays Premier League club (a privilege that Rodgers never had). The German will not bow down to Liverpool's infamous Anfield transfer committee that have continually failed to bring in successful players and he will no doubt start to implement his own strategy now that he has taken over as boss...

10. Yunus Malli (FSV Mainz 05)

Age: 23 Value: £3.5 million Nationality: German Position: Number 10 Jurgen Klopp spent 11 years at Mainz as a player and coach and is highly respected by everyone at the club. The club's current best player, Yunus Malli is currently enjoying a fantastic start to the 2015-16 season and has scored six goals in eight Bundesliga games playing as an attacking midfielder. If the German coach decides to cast his net over his old stomping ground then Malli could be a brilliant talent at Liverpool. The number ten prefers to play directly behind the striker and has fantastic ball carrying, finishing and passing ability.
