Tottenham Hotspur's impressive start to this Premier League campaign has come to an abrupt halt. Two wins out of two - over West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground and over Queens Park Rangers at White Hart Lane - in addition to two wins in the Europa League play-off round saw Mauricio Pochettino get off to a flyer in his reign as coach of the Lilywhites. However, a home thrashing against Liverpool was followed by a draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light in a match during which Spurs completely dominated proceedings and it is clear, even this early in the season, that the club are still lacking quality (at least in terms of depth) in certain areas. The club missed out on a number of potential targets in the summer and, although several players were brought in - Michel Vorm, Ben Davies, Eric Dier, DeAndre Yedlin, Federico Fazio and Benjamin Stambouli - there is no doubt that Pochettino will want to further stamp his influence on the squad in the coming months.
