France have so much attacking talent that it wouldn't be much of a surprise to see one of several French players walk away with this award. Ousmane Dembélé, Kylian Mbappé, Paul Pogba, and Nabil Fekir are all immensely talented footballers, but Antoine Griezmann is one of the more experienced stars in the squad and has a good history of performing at big tournaments.

He won the Golden Boot at Euro 2016 and was named as the best player of the tournament too. If he can keep up that same sort of form this summer, the 27-year-old star is a major contender for the World Cup Golden Ball award.

An energetic, creative forward, Griezmann has the versatility to play in multiple positions all around the frontline and even as an attacking midfielder. He scored 29 goals in all competitions for Atlético Madrid last season and is one of the most consistent performers for Les Bleus as well, scoring 20 times in 54 appearances so far.
