Paul Green's four years at Derby County were spent competing for mid-table positions in the Championship table so it is difficult to dispute his decision to depart the Rams for Leeds United.

However, at a time when he was looking to make the next logical step to advance his career on both the domestic and international scene, his time at Leeds United was relatively short-lived and he has spent the past two years at Rotherham United.

The Republic of Ireland international would have had hopes of contributing to a playoff bid but as the team only mustered 13th position in his first campaign, Green found himself failing to replicate the form he had previously shown in the East Midlands.

He scored four goals in his first 14 games for the Lilywhites but he would not find the net again throughout the following year. Although he has never been prolific, this was one of the main reasons why he was farmed out on loaned to Ipswich Town and his last appearance for Leeds came on October 5 - nine months before he finally left Elland Road.
