We've heard the term, and the fighters involved, for years now: Super Fight. Super Fight. The Greatest vs. the Greatest. Silva vs. GSP. Silva vs. Jones. Jones vs. Cain. Lets be clear: Nick Diaz is not one of the greatest fighters of all time. He's good. He's an ex-Strikeforce champion. This, however, is no more a super fight than Georges St. Pierre vs. Jake Shields was. Shields was a Strikeforce champ as well - the last Strikeforce welterweight champion. He got a ton of promotion, and a bout against GSP at Toronto's Skydome (now called the Rogers Centre) in front of about 50,000 fans. And it was not a super fight, just an easy win for GSP. This isn't a super fight either, but it will be more competitive, and Diaz has a more crowd-pleasing style. What it really comes down to is, this is a comeback fight for both fighters. Both need a win, though if the bout is entertaining enough, both will be forgiven for a third straight loss.
