Emmanuel Adebayor is at that stage of his career, where he has almost become a caricature of himself. Perhaps he realises that the perception people have of him is Public Enemy No.1, and maybe he just doesnt care. It seems as though his tantrum that expelled him from the Spurs side under Andres Villas-Boas was not something he has shied away from, however - indeed, it appears that the Togolese centre-forward is proud of his indiscretion. In February of this year, with the Portuguese manager having bit the bullet at the hands of trigger-happy Daniel Levy and the former Arsenal striker having been reintroduced into the fold under Tim Sherwood, Adebayor revealed that he had told Villas-Boas exactly what he had thought of his training methods in front of the entire team during a training session.
''I told him Your ideas will not help the team. I have had a chance to play for a lot of top clubs in my career and I know how its supposed to be. I told him one v one and he didnt want to listen, and then I told him in front of the group. Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe it was a good one, maybe it was a bad one.
