10 Tallest Players In The Premier League Today

Opponents face a tall order to get past these giants.

A list that will surely have Tony Pulis salivating at the very prospect. The infamously physical manager has a thing for the more robust target men, and it's a tactic that has worked at more than one club. On the face of it, you can see the benefit of signing big lads: they're stronger, harder to get through and tend to win more headers, and they offer options from set pieces that the more technically gifted, but slighter players simply cannot offer. And for some managers, they represent a special team style player; someone who can be relied on as the focal point of a certain type of formation, as Andy Carroll was at Newcastle for a while. And then of course there are the monstrous 'keepers who stand between posts, their wing-span stretching almost all the way across their goals. Gone are the days where it used to be the fattest or laziest player who would be picked in nets: the new breed of super tall, super agile players are like supermen, not least because of how far over 6 foot they stand. Unsurprisingly, it is the custodians who dominate this list of Premier League towers...
