Appointing Garde would represent a gamble given his lack of managerial experience in the Premier League, but he speaks fluent English and is clearly a very intelligent manager. He would be able to communicate effectively with the English players and his ability to work on a limited budget would suit the current Aston Villa situation. Maybe he won't say he is treating "every game like a cup final" like Tim Sherwood would do but perhaps he will get the results without mentioning it?
