10 Things Sunderland Must Do To Avoid Relegation

4. Start Lens, Use Watmore For Impact

Duncan Watmore provided the initial spark that was sorely lacking in Sunderland's side, and he even managed to galvanise the entire fanbase with his early performances. Now that we've had a good look at Watmore it's clear to see that he has immense potential, but while 'raw' talent is needed, he may be just a little too raw for first team football. He's proven that he can make a killer pass, he's certainly proven he can beat players and finish with style, but lately his final product has been very inconsistent. This is criticism, but it's not intended to be harsh, it's simply the truth. He could be used and an immense impact sub, while the more experienced - hopefully reinvigorated - Jeremain Lens could be given an extended run in the centre in the hunt for goals.
