10 Things Tiger Woods Wants You To Forget

2. Overall Less Than Tiger-Like Performances At The Ryder Cup

While Tiger has had a long career playing for the US team at the Ryder cup and sits comfortably on the list of all time singles and team matches played, his record does not reflect his ability on tour. As Tiger is always hovering around the number one spot in the world aside from his brief stint during the troubles in his personal life he will always be chosen for the US Ryder Cup team if he is available and able to play, but the Europeans seem to sense that he is out of his comfort zone at the event and they are usually able to take advantage of it and sneak the points for their team. Tiger did, however, prove his class in the last Ryder cup when he handed away the last hole so that the European team would win outright rather than retaining the cup via a tie. He was gracious in saying that the Europeans had done the impossible by making their comeback and the US could only force a tie so the Europeans might as well win by a point than tie to retain. While Tiger might want you to forget his Ryder Cup record as a whole, he proved in the last Ryder cup that he is still one of the most professional sportsmen in the world.
