Staying with the 2011 season for the next spot on the list is Tigers very brief performance at the 2011 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. While Tiger rarely has a great deal of success at the players having won just once before in 2001 (arguably the best season of his career) and once since in 2013, there was still something that was not quite right about Tiger shooting a plus 6 round of 42 on the front nine of the Stadium Course in 2011 and then withdrawing with an Achilles injury that was evidently causing him a great deal of pain as he limped off the course. This injury looked like the next blow in a series of holdbacks to the potential comeback of Tiger Woods after his personal meltdown. The first week in May of 2011 will be one that Tiger will want everyone to forget and he will want to do the same.
