12 Newcastle Players That Should Have Been WWE Wrestlers

Carver wants them to watch wrestling, so here's 10 stars that could have stepped between the ropes...

€œI€™ve told the players to keep playing and watch wrestling or something €“ but not football." These were the words from John Carver who is trying to come up with ploy to prevent Newcastle's slump into Football League abyss. Newcastle's Head Coach could lead his club to Premier League survival with a win against West Ham on Sunday. Simple as that. But since he has only picked 10 points from 57 and lost nine of his last 10 games, it is more likely that The Magpies will be relying on Hull City failing to beat Manchester United. In that case, why is he banning the players from watching the other teams? Those who aren't involved on Sunday should be sat in front of a TV with a huge bag of popcorn and a crate of beer cheering The Red Devils on as it seems to be the black and white's only hope of survival. Carver's comment on wrestling is an interesting one as it got us thinking of those players who could have easily made the transition from the football pitch to the wrestling ring. Those players who would spend their game time trying to get into a fight rather than getting the ball into the oppositions goal. Saying that, the pathetic nature of the current squad's performances for the majority of this season leaves you praying that Mike Ashley spends some money on some 'fighters' in the summer, whatever division the club is in... Here's 10 Newcastle United players that could easily ply their trade in a WWE wrestling ring.
