Is the future bright at Newcastle United? Who knows. One thing that is for sure though is that Mike Ashley has baked himself into a corner. The much maligned Magpies owner shocked the world when he made his first televised interview appearance on Sky Sports before the West Ham game.During the interview, he openly tried to change the Newcastle supporters' opinion of him, putting a positive spin on the situation the club found themselves in on Sunday and promising brighter things were ahead. After no less than eight years at the helm he has finally done some talking, it is now time for him to do some proverbial walking. Everyone can see exactly what he needs to do, he seemingly just needs to have the willing to do it himself. Ashley needs to put himself second and the club first if he is to realise any of the promises and goals he set last weekend. There's no way Newcastle could even dream of winning a cup or qualifying for the Champions League if the owner makes it his priority to score himself a profit each year rather than investing in the squad that takes to the field.
