The second Geordie on the list, Wor Bobby is widely regarded one of the greatest footballers of all time. The Northumberland born player, was on the World Cup winning team and recipient of the Ballon d'Or for Footballer of the Year in 1966. Charlton played 606 games for the Red Devils amassing a huge 199 goals. In the early 60s Sir Bobby began to lose his hair and refused to let nature take its course, sporting a style of stray, thin hairs which would fall all over the place while he was running before he would pull them back across with his hand. The style is still known today as 'the Bobby Charlton Comb-over'.
3. Abel Xavier
Number 2 on the list is Abel Xavier, A retired Portuguese fullback who last played for the Los Angeles Galaxy along side David Beckham. Xavier also played 20 times for his country. Xavier played for both Merseyside clubs as well as having a stint in the North-East with Middlesbrough. The 39-year old wore amass of blonde hair in various styles during his career, but mostly bleached blonde. Constantly looking like a wig, he can be seen above with corn-rows and a fluffy mo-hawk. Resembling stuffing coming out of a worn sofa. Xavier has since converted to Islam and changed his first name to Faisal. Alas, still has his bleached coiffure.
