Given a fearsome Jaws persona having lost two front teeth early in his career, Jordan lived up to this billing with his strong, committed nature and aerial ability, and was regarded as a good old-fashioned centre-forward who was never afraid to put his head where it hurt (which ironically lead to the loss of his teeth) for the cause.
