20 Worst Squads In FIFA World Cup History

3. Saudi Arabia (2002)

Remembered by some as the tournament that introduced the world to Miroslav Klose, the 2002 World Cup saw the rise of several stars. However, Klose's rise was partly helped by the hat-trick he bagged against Saudi Arabia.

2002 also saw Senegal defeat defending world champions, France, in one of the biggest World Cup upsets of all time. Other results however were more predictable, some of which being at Saudi Arabia's expense. Saudi Arabia were drawn against Germany, Cameroon and the Republic of Ireland. Saudi Arabia may have fancied thier chances against Ireland and Cameroon, but that was all changed when Germany beat them 8-0 in the opening game.

Saudi Arabia went on to lose 0-1 to Cameroon in the following match and finally losing 0-3 to Ireland in the final match. This meant Saudi Arabia conceded a whopping 12 goals and failed to score any of their own in the process.
