Brendan Rodgers will more than likely look at implementing a 4-3-3 system that compliments the 'tiki taka' style that he wants for the Reds. With great service on the sides from Suarez, who isn't an out and out goal scorer in the Torres mould anyway and new boy Borini - an unknown quantity himself, Carroll could nicely spearhead the attack from the middle. Even if Carroll isn't used in the starting 11 he himself would make one hell of a plan B. An impact substitute would can single handedly (see FA Cup Final for more details) turn a game on its head. Either way, there is definitely a place for him.
